CHECK-IN TIME: 7:30 am to 8:30 am on EACH DAY. Exhibitors who have not checked in by 9:00 am each day will be marked absent unless permission for late arrival is obtained from the Show Manager prior to check-in time. Picking up the catalogue is not considered checking in.
JUDGING WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 9:00 AM EACH DAY. Advertised hours are from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Entries must remain in the Show Hall until the completion of judging. You must be present to claim Finals unless permission to leave early is obtained from the Show Manager. Ribbons will not be hung on empty cages. We will try to have judging completed by 4:00 pm and Best of the Best presented by 4:30 pm. on Sunday.
HEALTH: It is highly recommended that all cats be inoculated for Panleukopenia, Calicivirus, and Rhinotracheitis at least 30 days in advance of the show. Exhibitors traveling from the US are reminded that Canada Customs requires that all cats over 3 months of age must have proof of a Rabies vaccination at least 30 days but not more than 365 days prior to entry into Canada. MCCI will enforce all Show Rules pertaining to fleas, ear mites, illness, etc. All cats admitted to the Show Hall must have both front and back claws clipped. If this has NOT been done, a club member will perform this task at a charge of $5.00 per cat.
SHOW RULES: This show will be conducted in accordance with American Cat Fanciers Association Inc. Show Rules. A current copy may be obtained by sending $7.00 US to the American Cat Fanciers Association, PO Box 1949, Nixa, Missouri, 65714-1949. By entering this show, each exhibitor agrees to abide by the decisions of the Judge(s), and by the rules of ACFA. The Manitoba Cat Club, Inc. and Holy Cross Gymnasium Hall will not be responsible for loss or accident to cats or kittens, loss or damage to the property of exhibitors nor assume any liability whatsoever for injury to any person. MCCI reserves the right to refuse entry to or to remove any person, cat or kitten from the Show Hall in the best interest of the Show.
CAGES: Each entry receives a single 21"x 21"x21" single cage. If you would like to expand to a full 21"x2I"x45" double cage, there is an extra charge as shown on the Summary Sheet. Exhibitors are required to use cage curtains and bedding to cover the bottom, top and three sides of the cage. If you are a novice exhibitor, please note this on the summary sheet and we'll try to seat you beside someone who can work with you.
FOOD AND LITTER: MCCI expects to be able to supply litter this year. Please bring your own food, dishes and litter pans. Out of town exhibitors are reminded that bringing their own water might be prudent.
CONFIRMATIONS, LISTING FEES, TRANSFERS: Confirmations will be mailed out as entries are received. Please report any errors ASAP. Missing or unreadable information on entries will be obtained through COLLECT phone calls. Whole Cats and Alters will be charged a listing fee for EACH DAY entered unless an ACFA registration number is provided prior to 8:00 am Saturday July 5, 2008. This is a back-to-back show. Transfers must be made on Saturday. The fee for transferring an ACFA registered cat to CH is $7.00 US/CDN; GCH is $12.00 US/CDN.
RIBBONS, ROSETTES, AWARDS: Ribbons and rosettes will be awarded in all rings
KITTENS: Kittens must be between 4 and 8 months of age on the day of the Show. In order to enter the Show Hall, all kittens, whether in competition or on exhibition must be born on or before March 5, 2008. Kittens born November 5, 2007 will be judged as kittens on Saturday and adults on Sunday.
KITTEN/CAT SALES: The sale of kittens and/or cats at the Show will be governed by ACFA Show Rule XVII, Section 6, parts a. and b. Cats and/or kittens for sale must be individually entered in the Show, either for competition or exhibition. Transfer of possession of cats or kittens must be arranged to take place away from the Show Hall outside Show hours. The parking lot behind the Show Hall is considered to be part of the Show Hall. While MCCI expects to be informed about each cat or kitten sold in conjunction with the Show, it declines to collect a commission on any sale.
