That's a great question. I don't dabble with search engine optimization ("SEO") because I believe that it is a waste of time and money to try to tinker with Google, Yahoo, etc.
The leading search engine sites are a fast-moving target. Their programming staffs consist of very smart people whose only interest is in presenting truly relevant search results to their users.
As a result, search sites often react badly (for example, by de-listing a site entirely) if people try to spam or spoof them into getting a certain site's pages a higher ranking. So here's what you should do:
